The system is used for the fully automatic performance of tensile tests on metals (e.g. according to DIN EN 10002-1, JIS Z 2201, ASTM E8), plastics (e.g. according to ISO527-2, ASTM 790) and dimensionally stable specimens of other materials (e.g. wood).

The system consists of a materials testing machine (test load 5 kN till 250 kN) including specimen grips and the automatic test system �roboTest A� with integrated magazine for 20 specimens. The usage of modern and state-of-art tools for software-development results is done in a very simple and intuitive operation of automation with Zwick autoEdition2-software. Manual tests are still possible by simply swinging the test system aside.
