Test fixture for the determination of the force required to move the syringe plunger according to EN ISO 7886-1

Zwick has introduced a new test fixture for use in medical applications. It determines the force required to move the plunger of sterile single use hypodermic syringes, and is in accordance with EN ISO 7886-1, appendix G, picture G.1

The 20N capacity fixture consists of an adjustable upper and lower fixture to clamp the syringe as well as a height adjustable container for liquids with integrated connection tube. Syringes from 7 to 30mm diameter can be accommodated.  

The fixture was developed for use with the Zwicki line of products but, with suitable adaptors, it can be adapted to virtually any model of testing machine.
