Component and Function Testing

Materials testing is carried out to determine material characteristics. By contrast, the broad field of component and function testing aims to determine performance characteristics.

A few examples:  

  • determination of insertion, extraction and retention forces
  • testing safety closures
  • determining stacking heights
  • determining edge strength of window frames
  • testing fasteners
  • testing adhesive bonds.

Testing Machines to 5 kN

Three models are available - 500 N, (112lbf), 1 kN (224 lbf), 2.5 kN (562 lbf) and 5 kN (1125 lbf).
