Hardness Testing Instrument MICRODUR MIC 10

Hardness Testing Instrument MICRODUR MIC 10

The Zwick MICRODUR MIC 10 is a portable hardness tester which uses the UCI (Ultrasonic Contact Impedance) method for quick, convenient measurements - simply locate the sensor, then read off the measured value. The test indentation of the Vickers diamond in the material surface is measured electronically and immediately displayed digitally as a hardness value – no time-consuming extra steps such as optical evaluation with a microscope.

Typical applications for this instrument are on gantries and scaffolding for testing large storage tanks and pipework or wherever the specimen happens to be. The small, slim hand-held sensors allow measuring to be carried out even at inaccessible locations such as tooth flanks or tooth root surfaces of gearwheels. The instrument can be positioned freely as required.
