The roboTest H robotic testing system automates impact tests using Charpy (to ISO 179-1) or Izod (to ISO 180 / ASTM D256) methods at ambient temperature or on cooled specimens

  • System can be attached to 25 J or 50 J pendulum impact testers 
  • Conventional or instrumented pendulums according to standard with nominal energy of 0.5 joules to 50 joules
  • The temperature conditioning magazine can hold twenty 4-mm high specimens 
  • Before the temperature conditioning magazine can be mounted on the robotic testing system, it and the specimens must be cooled externally to the desired temperature
  • The impact test is performed within five seconds of removing the specimen from the temperature conditioning magazine 
  • Manual tests can be performed whenever required

The roboTest H robotic testing system provides automated Charpy impact testing (as per ISO 148-1 and ASTM E23) at ambient temperature

  • The robotic testing system can be attached to 450 J or 750 J pendulum impact testers
  • Conventional or instrumented pendulums according to standard with a nominal energy up to 750 joules
  • Specimen feeding is suitable for specimens with dimensions of 5 to 10 x 10 x 55 mm
  • Magazine can accommodate 21 specimens at ambient temperature with a height of 10 mm, or 42 specimens with a height of 5 mm
  • Manual tests (for example, from a cooling bath or furnace) can be performed whenever required
