DMS Strain Gage Clip-On Extensometers

We measure even the smallest extensions or changes in width. 

These manual clip-on extensometers are attached directly to the specimen. With various preset gage-lengths they are suitable for use on metal and plastic specimens.

Description of application

The DMS Length 1 extensometer is intended for fixed gage-lengths L0 = 25 mm and L0 = 50 mm with a measuring range of 25 mm.

Extensometer types DMS Length 2, DMS Length 3 and DMS Length 4 are intended for fixed gage-lengths L0 = 20 mm and L0 = 10 mm with a measurement travel of 2 mm in the tensile direction and 1 mm in the compression direction.

The DMS Length 5 is a double-sided clip-on extensometer with measurement systems delivering two individual signals. It is intended for fixed gage-length L0 = 10 mm with measurement travel of 1.5 mm in the tensile and compression directions.

DMS Length 3, DMS Length 4 and DMS Length 5 are suitable for use in temperature chambers. DMS Length 5 is also suitable for use with HCCF.

Width Strain Gage

  • Zur Bestimmung der Poisson-Zahl an faserverstärkten Verbundwerkstoffen gemäß ISO 527-1.
  • Auswahl verschiedener Messspitzen zur Anpassung an die Probenabmessungen.

Dieser Breitenänderungsaufnehmer ist für den Einsatz in Verbindung mit Fühleraufnehmern oder ohne Längenänderungsaufnehmer konzipiert. Er ist für feste Probenbreiten B0 = 20,5 mm ... B0 = 16,5 mm vorgesehen. Der Messweg beträgt 4 mm.

Biax Strain Gage

The biaxial strain gage clip-on extensometer is used specifically for determining the change in length and width of specimens made of fiber-reinforced composites or metal.

This clip-on extensometer is suitable for determining the in-plane shear strength (IPS) and for determining Poisson's ratio.

The strain gage-based clip-on extensometer is particularly suitable for use in temperature chambers due to its wide temperature range of -70 ... +175 °C.

  • Sehr gute Linearität, daher zuverlässige Messergebnisse.
  • Hohe Auflösungen erlauben das Messen kleinster Verformungen im Versuch
  • Aufgrund der miniaturisierten, leichten Bauweise auch für Proben mit kleiner Länge gut handhabbar.
  • Anfangsmesslänge optional durch Verlängerungsstücke umsteckbar von 10 auf bis zu 100 mm (gilt nicht für Typ DMS Länge 1).
  • Temperaturunempfindliche Messsysteme zum Einsatz von -50 °C bis +200 °C.
  • Aufnehmer für beidseitige Messung der Probenverformung erlauben die genaue Messung des Moduls und der technischen Elastizitätsgrenze.
  • Variable Messmöglichkeiten bei Aufnehmern mit 2 getrennten Messsystemen, Einzelsignale oder das Mittelwertsignal sind darstellbar.
  • Der an der Probe angesetzte Längenänderungsaufnehmer wird durch Anschläge vor Überschreitung des Messweges oder bei Probenbruch geschützt (gilt nur für Typ DMS Länge 1).

ProLine Strain Gage

Diese Ansetzaufnehmer sind für feste Messlängen L0 = 10 mm bzw. L0 = 25 mm bei einem Messweg von ±2 mm bzw. ±2,5 mm (Zug) oder von ±1 mm (Druck) vorgesehen.

Im Lieferumfang enthalten sind unterschiedliche Klammern für verschiedene Probendicken/-breiten sowie eine L0-Lehre. Die L0-Lehre wird zum Ansetzen des Aufnehmers verwendet, um eine genaue L0 zu ermöglichen. Nach dem Ansetzen wird sie herausgenommen.

  • Sehr gute Linearität, daher zuverlässige Messergebnisse.
  • Hohe Auflösungen erlauben das Messen kleinster Verformungen im Versuch.
  • Miniaturisierte, leichte Bauweise, auch für Proben mit kleiner paralleler Länge gut zu handhaben.
