ThyssenKrupp Presta has around 20 Zwick testing machines and instruments equipped with testXpert or testXpert II testing software in use at its Eschen site. The machines are used both for R&D and in production-line quality-control. This multiplicity of testing applications means that the employees working with these testing machines have differing training requirements with regard to functions within testxpert.
In conjunction with ThyssenKrupp Presta, Zwick evolved an individually tailored training concept for the staff. "This work was very well planned and executed," states Martin Zett, head of the product development shop. Training sessions covering the theoretical side of new functions were followed directly by the practical application. This had the advantage of allowing employees to put what they had learned into practice straight away on the machines which they use on a daily basis. Key areas of the courses were advanced evaluations and analyses, ZIMT scripts, creating complex flow-definitions and various data export and storage options.
"As the theoretical and practical courses were specially tailored to our requirements, each group was able to learn a great deal, particularly as the Zwick trainers were very good," was Martin Zett's satisfied opinion of the courses and organization.
The courses were delivered by 4 Zwick trainers over 10 teaching days. To enable optimum transfer of knowledge a total of 10 theory blocks and 19 practical blocks were prepared. The theory blocks had a maximum of 11 participants, the practical blocks 6.Would you like to increase your expertise in testing-software operation? Then come to us.
